Challenge

To understand spirituality, first we need to understand challenge. Challenge, as defined in books of management, is when we perform a task that is just beyond our capacity. This uplifts our spirit and gives enjoyment for days, weeks and some time even for months.

Mr Khallas philosophy relates spirituality to an extreme form of challenge

If just thinking ahead is challenge then performing way beyond our capacity is spirituality.

Spirituality became clear to me when I started doing things that were way beyond my capacity. I knew it was not me. There was a supreme power that was doing things through me. I was just a medium. I became less aggressive.

My mind opened up. I started looking things differently. My observations got sharper.

I started hearing things differently. My listening improved.

My mind started unfolding the mysteries around me. I am no more hesitant to query even simplest thing I do not understand. I speak less but relevant.

I started finding more opportunities. Now I like to help more and more people.

The world inside and outside me are not as different as they were before. The difference between me, you and them is reducing.

What is your definition of Spirituality?

  1. I wanted to post on this topic for awhile now yet when It really came down to explaining spirituality I was stumped. I found myself flooded with emotion, lacking logical words to express myself. After further thought on this topic I came to the realization that spirituality was something that enabled growth. There are two main mind sets that people generally attain. The first is a fixed mindset whereby people believe that their basic qualities, like their intelligence or talent, are simply fixed traits. They spend their time documenting their intelligence or talent instead of developing them. They also believe that talent alone creates success—without effort. They’re wrong. The second is a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment. Virtually all great people have had these qualities. At one stage of my life I did have a fixed mind set however upon realizing my flaw I worked towards growth in all aspects of life. Anything from cooking to relationships and I did this all with spiritual guidance. So for me, spirituality is a constant growth and learning experience that will be ever changing.

    • You are on right track and the day you will start flying without wings you will know what spirituality can do for you.

  2. I am indeed impressed by your articulation on spirituality.
Allow me to express my take on spirituality..
    1. On a lighter vein, spirituality begins with a little ‘spirit’ ( of any brand) that elevates you against the gravitational pull of daily chores….
    2. On a serious note , I feel spirituality has its origin in deprivation and deficiencies … When content we hardly think of Him or thank Him…. It is often when the contentment gets boring that spirituality begins to appear..
    3. Spirituality is sometimes accidently born, when we realize that the steering-wheels that we had been holding and maneuvering with, had no connect with the wheel of the vehicle..!!!
    4. Spirituality is also getting out of our conditioned mind-set that put limits on our visions of thing around us (including the people) and our capabilities to deal with them…
    5. Spirituality is like a convex mirror that makes you look larger than what you actually are..
    6. Finally, spirituality allows you to gradually become what you were destined to be…
